About Pearce Counselling
Alexia is an experienced counselor and coach providing professional counselling and coaching to individuals and couples. She specializes in marriage and relationship counselling. Through a holistic approach, and in a safe and encouraging environment, she offers counselling that is geared towards helping clients gain understanding of themselves, their place in the world and how to overcome their life struggles.
Alexia’s clinical experience includes work at the Adler Trauma Clinic where she’s worked with clients who have a history of unresolved trauma. She worked at the McMichael Gallery providing group counseling through art therapy to people facing terminal illness. She also worked at Hincks-Dellcrest in the developmental clinic, screening pre-schoolers new to the country, to assess their readiness for school. Her areas of interest include, marriage reconciliation, self-empowerment, navigating difficult relationships, improving low self-esteem, stress management and grief and loss.
Alexia has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Specialized Honours) from the University of Guelph, a Bachelors of Education from the University of Toronto and a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the Adler University. She is a professional member of Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
